New vaccine scandal hits Chinese drug industry

China does not have a good record when it comes to food and drug safety. A new vaccine scandal is fueling both anger and suspicion from parents that the government is not doing enough to control drug scandals. Al Jazeera’s Florence Looi reports from Beijing.

China does not have a good record when it comes to food and drug safety. In 2008, six children died and an estimated 300,000 fell sick after drinking milk contaminated with melamine.

Now a new vaccine scandal is fueling both anger and suspicion from parents that the government is not doing enough to control drug scandals. Al Jazeera’s Florence Looi reports from Beijing.
