On the mark cuban trial. reporter: yeah, he said you know what? i spent much more money trying to fight this, paying my legal fees than had i just paid the $2.5 million charge to the sec but he says it was well worth it. here is what he told us just minutes ago. i’m the luckiest guy in the world. i’m glad this happened to me and i’m glad that i can afford to stand up to them. i don’t want anything from them except for them to act like american citizens and treat other american citizens the way they deserve to be treated. the sec claimed he dumped his shares after he got a private call about a new offering but cuban has always said look, i did nothing wrong. i had information that was open to the public. it was not confidential. defendants don’t usually want to be spending money in court but he said he ha had something to prove and here is what he said. when you put someone on the stand, it’s personal. when you take all of these years in my life, it’s personal. the people in this case could have said something and didn’t say anything and that’s just wroung.
